The beauty of this place has to be experienced.

Thank you for making our short trip to Rhodes so memorable and making us feel as part of your family.
We were fortunate to have found it and met such a passionate couple.
We came across a website featuring Kokkini Porta Rossa, a boutique hotel in the Old Rhodes Town. We were so impressed by the photos that we immediately made a booking. And I have to say we were not disappointed. Kokkini Porta Rossa is an original home in the old medieval town of Rhodes that has been beautifully and lovingly restored by the owners Nikos and Angela. Our room was large with a sitting room and bathroom downstairs and a large mezzanine bedroom upstairs. The bed is very comfortable and a pillow menu is provided to select your ideal pillow. The room is beautifully decorated and all needs of guests catered for.
The shared areas of this beautiful home are also stunning. The courtyard where breakfast was served was so beautiful and tranquil, a superb way to start each day. The breakfast served by Angela was amazing, beautifully presented and a wide variety of fresh breads, pastries, homemade jam, greek yogurt, local greek honey, amazing fresh juices and of course fresh eggs. Thanks Angela for introducing us to Quail eggs - they were fantastic !
But what made our stay so very special was our hosts/owners Nikos and Angela. They are a lovely, warm couple who genuinely care for their guests. They have grown up in Rhodes and have excellent local knowledge and provided us with fantastic recommendations on beaches to visit, taverns with authentic local fresh food, and of course sightseeing ideas. They organised car hire for us with reasonable rates and a day trip to a nearby island called Symi. Nothing was too much trouble for Nikos and Angela. They always made us feel so welcome in their "home". In fact each night we returned to our room we felt like we were returning to our home.
