FILO PARCELS WITH ROSE PETALS PRESERVE

Ingredients

    1. 4 x 100g blocks feta cheese
    2. 8 sheets filo pastry
    3. Olive oil for brushing
    4. 1½ tbsp black or white sesame seeds
    5. 3 tbsp rose petal preserve
    6. 1 tbsp balsamic cream

Method
  Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200˚C.
Dry the feta cheese with kitchen paper.
  Step 2
Lay out a sheet of filo pastry, brush with olive oil and lay a second sheet on top. Brush again with olive oil.
Place a block of feta at the short edge of the rectangle, then fold the filo over the sides and wrap like a parcel.
Brush the outside with olive oil and place on a baking sheet with the seam-side down.Repeat with the rest of the blocks of feta and the remaining filo sheets.  Step 3
Sprinkle the parcels with sesame seeds and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, until they are crisp and golden.
Serve hot with rose petal sauce (mix rose petal preserve with balsamic cream)
